Recycle, Re-use, Re-purpose - Using an old tissue box

 Hey everyone - Dawn here with inspiration for our September Die Cut Diva Challenge asking for recycling, repurposing or reusing materials on your projects.

For my recycled element, I used part of a tissue box for the background. The design was too pretty to throw away, so I die cut it with a Pinkfresh Studio Essential Mini Slimline die to make the most of the pattern. For the focal point, I used the Laughing Girlfriends stamp set from Art Impressions. I stamped the image, coloured it with alcohol markers, and fussy cut it before adding it to the card.

The sentiment is from another Art Impressions set, Loungers, and it paired perfectly with the image. I did a little die surgery so the die cut would fit neatly around the sentiment, and I’m so pleased with how it all came together. It turned out just as I had imagined!

Warmest Wishes For A Merry Christmas Card

  Hello Crafty Friends - Annie here with a fun Chritmas card using Art Impressions Christmas Slimline Stamp set and for my recycle item I used a piece of a thin cardboard. This month over on the Die Cut Divas Blog the challenge is THEME: Recycle, re-use & repurpose. If we can't determine what you've recycled, re-used or repurposed, (Which we probably can't) PLEASE tell us what you've done to meet the theme.

 

I used the thin cardboard that I peel the top layer off as my base then I repurpsed a foilded panel that didn't quit foild corretly as my background. I added a bit of Frosty Finish Texture snow to both panels.

Recycle, Re-Use & Repurpose with Art Impressions

Hi! It's Sue here. Our challenge for the month of September is

RECYCLE, RE-USE & REPURPOSE

Our sponsor this month is Art Impressions who will be giving our winner a $25 gift card to their online store. Thank you Art Impressions for your generosity.

This challenge sounded "easy" until I had to find something to recycle, re-use and repurpose. I looked around my craft space and nothing inspired me. So, I went to my blue box to see if there was something. I chose a discarded Ziploc sandwich bag box. I opened it up and found about a 4" x 4" piece of cardboard. I stamped the image using Art Impressions' Special Window Set. I added color with distress inks, some water and a water brush. I die cut it using a stitched square die.

I die cut a scalloped frame using a mauve cardstock and found some patterned paper that went with the other elements. I adhered all the elements to a cream A2 card base to finish my card.

Bundle of Joy

  Hi,

I am back with another Re-cycle, Re-use, Re-purpose theme project today.  My re-cycle item is a ribbon used to wrap baby gift I receive more than twenty years ago.  I knew someday I'd use it.  Today is that day.

My card features the adorable animals from the Baby Keepsake set from Art Impressions, our sponsor for September.  The challenge prize is $25 gift card to their store.
