Hello Crafty Friends - Annie here with a shaped card featuring the Jar of Peonies Stamp Set and Coordinating Die set from Pink & Main for the Die Cut Divas Challenge. This Month is Shaped cards!
Hey everyone - Dawn here with inspiration for our September Die Cut Diva Challenge asking for recycling, repurposing or reusing materials on your projects.
For my recycled element, I used part of a tissue box for the background. The design was too pretty to throw away, so I die cut it with a Pinkfresh Studio Essential Mini Slimline die to make the most of the pattern. For the focal point, I used the Laughing Girlfriends stamp set from Art Impressions. I stamped the image, coloured it with alcohol markers, and fussy cut it before adding it to the card.
The sentiment is from another Art Impressions set, Loungers,
and it paired perfectly with the image. I did a little die surgery so the die
cut would fit neatly around the sentiment, and I’m so pleased with how it all
came together. It turned out just as I had imagined!
Hello Crafty Friends - Annie here with a fun Chritmas card using Art Impressions Christmas Slimline Stamp set and for my recycle item I used a piece of a thin cardboard. This month over on the Die Cut Divas Blog the challenge is THEME: Recycle, re-use & repurpose. If we can't determine what you've recycled, re-used or repurposed, (Which we probably can't) PLEASE tell us what you've done to meet the theme.

The Prize: $15 gift card
Hello crafty friends! Today I’m sharing my sample card for
Die Cut Divas, where our June challenge theme is Anything Goes. Although
we don’t have an official sponsor this month, we do still have a prize: one of
our Divas won a $25 gift card to Whimsy Stamps and has generously chosen to
pass it on. The gift card will be awarded by random draw from eligible June
entries.
For my card, I created a mixed media background and paired it with layered butterfly die cuts. The butterflies were cut using Montie’s Craft Supplies Layered Butterflies from a piece of bubble watercolour card that had not quite worked out. Happily, it turned out to be perfect for these little cuties. I added Silver Lining Lunar Paste over the smaller layered pieces to give them a lovely shimmer and extra dimension.
To create the main panel, I first primed the surface with
clear gesso, which gave the card a beautiful “tooth” and made it ideal for
adding layers. I then “watercoloured” some Altenew Leaves by colouring directly
over the stamp with watercolour brushes, spritzing it with water, and stamping
the image onto the panel.
Once the leaves had dried, I used a Dina Wakley mini stencil
to add brick details with Catherine Pooler brown ink. I also stamped randomly
with a Hero Arts scripty stamp to build up more texture and interest in the
background. After everything was completely dry, I added the butterflies and
the sentiment strips, which I printed on my computer.
To finish the card, I added splatters of white Dina Wakley
acrylic paint. I love how the soft watercolour, stenciled texture, script
stamping, and shimmery butterflies all came together for a layered mixed media
look.
I hope you’ll come and join us for our June Challenge - Anything Goes. Just remember to include a die cut and/or embossing folder on your project, of course!
Hello Crafty Friends - Annie here with a Halloween card featuring a digital stamp from Whimsy Stamps called Halloween Witchy Girl
I used torn paper dies for my layers and a dotted rectangle dies for my card panels. I used a Slanted Sentiment Banner die as well.
Welcome to our June challenge, Anything Goes.
This month we do not have an official sponsor, but we are still offering a challenge prize. One of our Divas won a $25 gift card to Whimsy Stamps and wishes to pass it on.
Dawn here, with another inspiration piece for this month’s challenge over at Die Cut Divas. Our May sponsor is Poppy Stamps, and the theme is Celebrate—a wonderfully open prompt with so many directions to explore. Birthdays, weddings, milestones, holidays… you name it.
For my project today, I decided to lean into a warm, seasonal vibe and create a Thanksgiving card.
For the background, I spritzed a panel with Distress Spray Stains and Distress Oxide Spray in Tarnished Brass and Picked Raspberry. Once it dried, I trimmed it down to fit one an “Ardyth-style” 4.25" square card base.
To build the focal point, I die cut an orange ribbon and bow using the Poppy Stamps Grosgrain Ribbon and Grosgrain Bow dies. I adhered the ribbon across the background panel, then tucked the leaves on either side to create a full, autumnal cluster.
A Spellbinders hot-foiled sentiment, die cut and added over the ribbon, finished the card beautifully.
Another celebration card complete—and a lovely way to use up those special little scraps we all hang onto.
Come and join us at Die Cut Divas with you Celebration card - just remember to use your die cut machine.

It’s time to celebrate with Altenew over at Die Cut Divas! Altenew is our wonderful sponsor this month, and they’re also marking a big milestone—their 12th anniversary. To join the festivities, our challenge theme is simple: make an anniversary or birthday card.
I’ve been a fan of Altenew for a long time—since around 2015 at least. Their floral stamps are some of my all-time favourites, and it’s been fun to see their range grow over the years into stencils, dies, embossing folders, and more. I’ll just say… I own a lot of Altenew goodies!
For today’s card I reached for an older favourite: the Fabulous Florets layering stamps and coordinating dies.
I hope you’ll join our challenge! Just be sure to include die-cuts and/or a dry-embossed item in your submission.
