Sweet Friend gift bag

Dawn T here to share another project for our Anything but a Card....

Today I have a gift bag.

I found this kraft gift bag when I was cleaning out the craft room the other week.  I'd forgotten I had them - not even sure where I got them!  I took some cute paper and die cut a tall scalloped rectangle with a Spellbinders die.   I had the friend die cut (a Winnie and Walter cut with my ScanNCut.) sitting on my desk.  I used a Copic marker to colour it up.  I also coloured the die cut circle.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.    I had fun making this one .

Anything But a Card could be a Bookmark!

Welcome back to Die Cut Diva's!  For the monthly challenge, Anything But a Card, I made a bookmark for The Man.  I struggle with masculine gifts, cards, well, anything, so this was fun to make!  Remember, you could win a voucher to Dies R Us if you win the challenge!
Here is the bookmark I made.  I think the black and white pallet makes the rose panel look a bit less feminine, don't you?
I'd love it if you popped by to my blog, Art Without Anxiety, to see what products I used and how I constructed the bookmark.

Have a wonderful day, my die cutting buddies!

You are Loved

Hello die loving friends!

For this challenge, Anything but a Card {sponsored by Dies R Us} I decided to make a banner for a friend that's been going through a rough time lately. I hope you like it!

I hope you've had time to join in the challenge this month; working out of the box is so much fun!
If you'd like to check out how I made the banner, and see what products I used, please stop by my blog, Art Without Anxiety.

Have a wonderful day!

Here is my project:

Back

This is how it looked like before-

I used Spellbinders Labels Nine to cover up the writing, and a poinsettia (Spellbinders Poinsettia, but these would work as well). Not a lot of work to make a gift box or peppermint holder!

I Used a Lot of Dies from Dies R Us. for this Calendar

It's a Dies R Us month for Die Cut Divas with an "Anything but a Card" challenge

Arlene here.  I'm always at A Bit of This and That.

I've had this Tim Holtz calendar for more than three years and with working, stamping and otherwise busy, I only took it out and said I'll get to it later.  Later finely came.  And YES, it took a lot of time to cover everything with patterned paper, then determine what die cuts to use on each paper, cut the images and finally arrange and attached them, keeping in mind what patterns and images might be next to the tab I was working on.  Most of the time, the tabs work well together.

LOTS OF PHOTOS:

All Completed Months Laid Out

All Completed Days Laid Out

All Completed Dates 0 - 3 Laid Out
(first set of numbers in calendar e.g. 01, 03 before turning to 10)

All Completed Dates 0 - 9 Laid Out

Finally, a completed Calendar
My BLUE MONDAY is a bit dark to show up well.

This was a lot of work, but it was well worth it.

Supplies:
Lots of Elizabeth Craft Designs dies available at Dies R Us
Local King Rubber Stamps and Dies- only the snowman tab
Sizzix ABC - I used only the numbers
Crafty Sentiments Designs - boy on chair
February is a commercial card of a house

Wine bottle label

Hi Dawn T here with an "Anything But a Card" sample today....

I have made a label for a Wine bottle

I have used an cut file I got from the Brother Canvas.  I used some dark kraft card to cut the base.  I couldn't work out to make the inner layer so just cut it out and trimmed a little bit off the edges.  I die cut a rose (Couture Creations) from some wine coloured card and back the roses with some pink painted paper and used Copics to colour the leaves with Copic markers.   The little label is an older Spellbinders die.

Do come and join us this month.

It Might As Well Be Something Useful

Since the challenge for this month is to make something other than a card, I needed to make a folder for my Toastmaster speeches and evaluations so I could identify my folder from others in my file cabinet.  I didn't want to go too crafty with this folder, but just needed a label.  The key is the key to unlocking your own success through Toastmasters.

I've done two different labels, the first one was my first attempt and the second label is for more folders for our Toastmasters' club for their online manuals.

Second label, which I like better than the first.

My folder with label below

Supplies:
Elizabeth Craft Design Stitched Rectangles at  Dies R Us for first label
Elizabeth Craft Design Alphabet 2 - Lower Case at Dies R Us
Elizabeth Craft Design Steampunk Charms - 6 dies set at Dies R Us
Elizabeth Craft Design Labels & Circles not in stock (2nd label) - you can use any framing
