Linda die cut snowflakes from a paper towel box!

Sue N rescued a brown envelope from the recycle box to create the background for her card. For details, check out her foleysfriend blog, here

Recycle, Re-use, Re-purpose - Using an old tissue box

Hey everyone - Dawn here with inspiration for our September Die Cut Diva Challenge asking for recycling, repurposing or reusing materials on your projects.

We have the amazing Art Impressions as this month's sponsor; they've donated a $25 gift card for our randomly drawn winner.

For my recycled element, I used part of a tissue box for the background. The design was too pretty to throw away, so I die cut it with a Pinkfresh Studio Essential Mini Slimline die to make the most of the pattern. For the focal point, I used the Laughing Girlfriends stamp set from Art Impressions. I stamped the image, coloured it with alcohol markers, and fussy cut it before adding it to the card.

The sentiment is from another Art Impressions set, Loungers, and it paired perfectly with the image. I did a little die surgery so the die cut would fit neatly around the sentiment, and I’m so pleased with how it all came together. It turned out just as I had imagined!

Do come and join us this month, - remember to let us know what you recycle/re-used or re-purposed and make sure you use your die machine to die cut or emboss on your project.

We have the amazing Art Impressions as this month's sponsor; they've donated a $25 gift card for our randomly drawn winner.

Knowing our theme, I've been saving security envelopes - some have amazing patterns that can be used in place of patterned paper! I used one of them as backing for my grid frame:

Thanks for visiting and we hope to see you in the gallery!
Just remember to mention what you've used to fit the theme & be sure to include a diecut &/or embossing folder in your design.

Bundle of Joy

  Hi,

I am back with another Re-cycle, Re-use, Re-purpose theme project today.  My re-cycle item is a ribbon used to wrap baby gift I receive more than twenty years ago.  I knew someday I'd use it.  Today is that day.

My card features the adorable animals from the Baby Keepsake set from Art Impressions, our sponsor for September.  The challenge prize is $25 gift card to their store.

I'd love to see what you'd come up with for this month's challenge theme.  Remember to tell us what is the Re-cycle, Re-use, Re-purpose element on your project, and use die cut and/or dry embossing to quality.  If you're not familiar with the rules, please review it by clicking the Contest Rules button on the top.

Happy crafting!!

Stacked Turtles

Hi  - Dawn here to share a watercoloured card using stamps from our sponsor this month

Art Impressions

Our theme for the month is Watercolours - Real or Faux.    Art Impressions will be giving our winner a $25 gift card. Thank you, Art Impressions for your generosity.

I used Art Impressions Turtle Stackers stamp set and stamped onto some Mixed Media paper.  I used Onxy Black ink and clear embossed it.  This helps keep the watercolour in the right spots.  I used Altenew Woodless Watercolour pencils to add my watercolouring.  They are so easy to use, scribble some colour and the use a paintbrush with blend.  I decided to make my turtles in rainbow colours!  Something a little bit fun!  I die cut the panel and the matting panel with Waffle Flower Deckled Frame dies.  Added some blue watercolour splatters and added some homemade enamel dots with Spectrum Noir sparkle pen on them.   I also added the sparkle pen onto the turtle shells.

Do come and join us with your watercolour (real or faux) projects  Here
