Lucille Returns! Unfortunately, Monika will be leaving us at the end of May

Lucille Kearin was with us in 2019 as a DT and unfortunately had to take a leave, but she is back with us beginning tomorrow, May 28th, so be on the look-out for more special projects.  I chose a couple of cards from mid-2019 to whet your taste buds for more special projects from Lucille.

Be sure to visit tomorrow and stay tuned for more beautiful work from our newest DT.
Welcome Back, Lucille

So sorry to see you leave us, Monika.
Monika's last card will be on the last day of May as a Diva of Die Cut Divas.  Monika has the perfect touch with flowers.  You can see that with a few of her cards I've included below.

Cindy had stamped them on some sweet patterned paper.  I added Copic markers to the hearts,  I die cut a doily from Catherine Pooler Designs, to sit the teapot and cups on.  I used some fabulous grey and white coloured patterned paper which I used a Lil'Inker  die to cut out.  I took the stamped image and trimmed it with a fish tail banner, and layered onto some black card .

Do come and join us with your Beverage project. We'd love to see what you create.

Adding Shimmer and Shine to Simple Die Cuts for Big Impact

Hi Everyone, This is Renee' with Delaney Jane Cards This month Cas-UAL Friday's is the sponsor here at Die Cut Divas. I have these adorable mugs and coffee sentiment to play with. The mugs aren't that large but I wanted to make them the focal point so I decided to pair two together!

I added foil to these mugs and some ink blending to really give them shape and shine.

I used the new deco foil transfer gel for the stenciled background along with some glitter paste. I didn't realize the foil would stick to the glitter paste when I passed it through the laminator but I love the result. Some of the glitter paste peeks out, some of the texture from the glitter paste is hidden under the foil and some of the texture from the deco foil transfer gel shows as well.

I used this die for the cups and the word coffee : Cas-ual Fridays Coffee Cup Fri-Dies

Di's Mice Take the Cake? No, Donuts

April's wonderful sponsor is Di's Digis.
It's all about animals.

Prize: The prize for April's winner is a $6.00 voucher.

Di's Digi Stamps has some wonderful COLORED images as well as black and white.  I bought both of these wonderful digital stamps (black and white and colored).  I used a COLORED image here.  I did touch up the blue, yellow and pink on the donuts and pink on the mice to give a darker color and pop.  I die-cut the circle and applied Antique Linen to the circle and Ground Espresso to circle outline and give more depth to the bottom of the circle or you could call it a globe.  I applied the same colors to the background scallop with a touch of worn lipstick.

I had this scalloped square with the other edges already on it - who knows what I was going to use if for, but I've now used it to good advantage.   I pop dotted the circle and put a die-cut "celebrate" on the bottom.

Close-up below.

Supplies:
Donuts and Sprinkles Colored at Di's Digi Stamps
Little B Handwritten "celebrate" die-cut
Spellbinders Nestabilities Small Classic Scalloped Squares Die
Distress inks Antique Linen, Worn Lipstick and Ground Espresso

Have fun on your Birthday

Hi there.  Dawn here to share my Animal card for this month's challenge

April's sposnor is Di's Digis and it's All about Animals.

Prize: The prize for April's winner is a $6.00 voucher.

I chose to use a sweet little digi called "Daisy Fun" I printed it onto some watercolour card.

I used my Zig Markers to watercolour these cuties. I decided yellow daisies would suit them. I added some gold Sparkle pen to the centres and a few little dabs onto my hedgie. I used Craft Creations Mega rectangle dies to cut out the watercolour panel and to make the black frame for around the image. Added a Sentiment from Clearly Besotted and it was done.

Come and join us with your All About Animal projects.

Adorable First Birthday Card Featuring Di's Digis

Hi Everyone, It's Renee' with Delaney Jane Cards.  Today, I feature some Di's Digis Images and made this adorable first birthday card for one of my good friend's sons who is about to turn 1! I'm using the Di's Digis because they are the sponsor at the Die Cut Diva's Blog.

I die cut the main panel with a pierced rectangle and used some border dies to create masks for my grass and hills and ink blended those. I also used a stencil from Honey Bee Stamps to create this soft cloudy sky.

I dry embossed the blue panel with a Darice Clouds embossing folder. That folder is made to use on a vertical background so I ran it through, shifted it over and was able to emboss the entire background.

I have a video up on my channel if you'd like to check out how exactly I created this. You can view it here: Delaney Jane Cards

You can find these digital image at  Di's Digis

The paper pads I worked with were the following:
