Fun Fall Background with Cover Dies

Hi Everyone! Kristina here today with another card for our fun free time challenge! What do you do in your free time? One of my non-paper related hobbies is backyard birding, which has of course also turned into backyard squirreling! It actually all started with a squirrel that was curious enough to eventually become hand fed. We named her Peanut Butter because thats her favorite treat. She's still with us 6 years later, along with a whole host of other friends. They eat me out of house and home!

The Process

  • I started with a beige piece of a2 sized card stock for my base, and on top layered two die cut panels going opposite directions to create a multi-toned background in a plaid pattern.
  • Next I stamped colored and cut out an image from a Neat & Tangled stamp set
  • I adhered my image down to my background with foam squares, and adhered the whole panel down to an a2 sized card base.
Next time you see a squirrel remember your crazy squirrel lady friend from the Die Cut Divas' blog! So crazy I've actually had my yard certified as a Wildlife Habitat by the national wildlife federation. Here's my little peanut butter patiently waiting for a snack.

Until next time :)

Supplies

** The background die I used from Lil Inker has unfortunately been discontinued but you can try this technique with many back ground dies.
