Hello You Floral

Hi Dawn here to share my sample for this month's challenge.  It's a challenge that warms my heart... my favourite theme and sponsored by my favourite company....

FLOWERS

Our sponsor this month is Altenew. They will be giving our winner a $50 gift certificate to their online store. Thank you Altenew for this very generous gift.

Here's what I came up with.

I used Altenew Perfect Gift set - stamps, stencils, dies and embossing folder to make this one.  I used the embossing folder to add the embossed background.  It embosses the frame and the flower.. but I chose to stamp the flower separately and used the stencil to add the colour before die cutting it.   I used purples from Altenew Enchanted Garden set and greens from Tropical Forest set. The centre was Fresh Lemon but I added some Spectrum Noir clear glitter pen.   For my sentiment I die cut two from Altenew Versatile Greetings set from purple card.   I also made the little purple embellishments by cutting some paler purple card with a tiny circle background die - not sure where I got it as it is unbranded.  Made a LOT of dots!  I added a few here and there and added some glossy accents to them so they look like enamel dots.

We'd love to see your gorgeous FLOWER projects here

Let the Shenanigans Begin.

Hi there.  Dawn here today to share my card for our Tic Tac Toe challenge.

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps
Prize: $20 gift code
This is a Tic Tac Toe challenge month using the grid below.
Please tell us which row you picked on your entry.

My card today uses the middle row down - emboss it, friendship and blue...  It's a birthday card for a dear friend.  And there is a bit of blue in there....

My embossing is subtle.  I used a dotty stencil and some pink, blue and green inks from Altenew.  I then used the two dies by Gina K from Master Layouts 1 - the smaller one for the stencilled panel and the larger one for the layer in a nice bright blue.  I then put the stencil back over the ink blending and ran it through my Cuttlebug with an embossing pad and got a subtle embossing.  I made the mistake of stamping my CAS-ual Friday sentiment after doing the embossing so you can see some of the levels showing through.  The stamp set I used is called "Shenanigans"   I white embossed the subsentiment onto some black card.  To finish I used some Rose Gold sequins that arrived today from my friend Betty.

Do come and join us at Die Cut Divas for our May challenge.  Just remeber - used your machine to cut and/or emboss on your card and tell us how you used our Tic Toc Toe board.

Dawn T here today to share my "water" card.

I recently saw a tutorial over at Splitcoaststampers about doing a sunrise scene.  I decided I'd try it with some Altenew stamps and inks.  I started by stamping the the water stamp  from Altenew "Be A Lighthouse" with Sapphire ink and then blended it with the same ink.  I then die cut a circle to use as a mask.  Then I took Altenew inks in - Honey Drizzle, Autumn Blaze, Heart Beat, Vineyard Berry and Cosmic Berry  I then stamp the lighthouse and gulls in Versafine Onyx Black.  The sentiment stamps are from the same set.  I used a die to cut out the panel and then used some of the dies to emboss around the panel  for some texture.

Do come and join us with your water related creations.
