I made a different kind of Love card today! I needed some color since it's been so dreary here in Colorado; and I'm sure you could use some color, too!

September Sketch Challenge

Do you need some card layout ideas for your cards? Join us this month for Our Sketch Challenge using 1 or both of the sketches below.

If you have never followed a sketch, the rules are very simple, you don’t have to follow it exactly, you can even rotate or switch things up, but it should have some resemblance to the sketch’s given. So have fun using these ideas and we can’t wait to see what you create!

February Challenge - Untraditional Valentines

Good morning Ladies

Our Second Month of the year has begun, and that you should all know by now; means it's time for a new challenge.

Because this is the "official" month of love, I am going to challenge you with making Valentines.

But don't think it will be so easy for you! there is a twist as well... I want to see untraditional valentines, and by this I mean not your normal pink red and white color combinations, all of which you can use, but not together on the same card/project.

and as a second option you can use embossing powder on your valentines, to which the above rules do not apply, as long as you use embossing powder.

All cards/projects must be made using at least one die cut or embossing folder, using any die cut machine you may own.

Limits are 4 projects per person per challenge.
The winner will be selected randomly, at the end of the month and Announced on the 1st of March

It's 2012 and Love is in the Air... January Challenge is underway

Hi All

My turn to challenge you.... It's a New Year and Love is in the Air.. Valentine's is coming up in about 6 weeks... so now's the time to get ready. But any project to do with LOVE will do... if you don't "Do Valentines"... how about a Wedding or an Engagement or just "I Love You" project ( a card/ATC/Layout/Altered object ) as long as you use your die cut machine ...

Here's the rules

1. Limit of 4 entries for each challenge per month
2. Random Drawing will be held the last day of the month
3. If a moderator is not hosting a challenge for the month, the moderator can enter the challenge

Same Recipe - different result

Hi everyone,

Today I thought I would share with you a card I made using the same "Recipe" I used for the Mini album. 

I started by inking the edge of the pink paper with Spun Sugar Distress Ink.  Then I distressed the edges of the pp.  Sewed that to the pink paper.  I added some lace from the very lovely Vera (lace can be used instead of ribbon if you prefer). Then I went to my scraps (still trying to use them up!) & used my Cuttlebug Heart Die to make the layered heart.  Finally I added the flower, button & pin (with some extra ribbon).  The sentiment is from this Hero Arts set.

September 2010 Challenge / Little Things.

Hi Ladies.

Welcome To September!
This is my first time hosting a challenge for the DCD, so please excuse me if I make a mistake. 8~)

You Ladies can really "cough up" some big and beautiful cards using your dies...But can you do as well with little things? That is my challenge this month for you!

Need some Inspiration? check back here, all through September to find some idea's for this month's challenge.

August 2010 Challenge

Hi all,

I am back & it's my turn to host a challenge. Since Em is having a birthday this month I thought that "Kids Birthdays" would be a good theme. I am going to leave the ages up to you. So if you can make a card for a child aged between 1 - 18. I hope that gives you all something to work with. 

To enter all you have to do is create something like a card, a LO, make a gift, create an ATC or whatever you so desire. JUST HAVE FUN!
