A With Sympathy Card and PoppyStamps

Hi! Sue here today with a card using products by our Sponsor this month, PoppyStamps. They generously will be giving our winner a $20 gift card. Thank you PoppyStamps.

Our challenge for the month of September is SYMPATHY.

I find making sympathy cards a bit challenging because of the intense feelings of grief associated with a loss. I hope that my sympathy cards bring the recipient some solace. As I age, sadly I find that I need more sympathy cards. Here's my card

For my card, I used PoppyStamps' Flower Field Corner craft die and a retired PoppyStamps' Peony Stems and Blossoms stamp set. For details on how I created my card, check out my foleysfriend blog.

Would love to see your SYMPATHY creations using die cut(s) in our gallery this month.

Spring Daffodils

Hi Divas, it's Dawn here to share another card to inspire you.

this month's sponsor, SheepSki Designs. Our random winner from eligible August entries can chose 3 images from SheepSki!

For our August Challenge we're doing embossing - wet or dry; I chose to do dry.

I've used a delightful Spring image (Jo's Daffodills) for my card, with a dry embossed background

Used some Momento Toffee Crunch to add colour to the Tim Holtz Alterations folder before running it through my machine.  Love the grungy look with the elegance of the focal image.   I printed and then used a variety of alcohol markers to add the colour.  Die cut with Spellbinders Nestibilites - Petite Ovals and Petite Scalloped Ovals.  The sentiment from Couture Creations was die cut and then stamped with Altenew Honey Drizzle ink.

Thanks for visiting & we hope to see you in the August Gallery by 9pm Pacific on the 31st of August.  Be sure to include either die cuts (if doing wet embossing) or an embossing folder in your design.

Here is my project-

This is one of a dozen Thank You cards I made for my sister. She lost her daughter to cancer, and wanted to thank the hospice workers who made her last weeks bearable. I didn't think this needed a sentiment, as the embossing folder and image were enough. If you would like more info on this card, follow this link.

SheepSki Designs' Floral Heart Card

Hi Friends! It's Sue here today with a card. We are sponsored by SheepSki Designs this month. They are generously giving our winner three images of their choice from their etsy shop.

Our challenge this month is to use EMBOSSING - either dry or wet.

Here's my card

For my card, I only did the dry embossing for the background panel. I used Spellbinders' Seamless Floral Background embossing folder and added color with distress inks, applied with small oval ink blending brushes. For the pretty butterfuly, I used SheepSki Designs' Floral Heart digital image, which includes this butterfly in addition to a floral heart. For specifics on how I created my card, please visit my blog here.

Looking forward to see your EMBOSSED creations in our gallery, which you can find at the end of this post.

Until next time

A Toucan

 Hi,

It's Cindy here sharing another Wet/Dry embossing project.

My project features SheepSki Designs Digital Stamp: Tropical Image No 239.  I had lots of fun coloring it. After I trimmed it by hand, I adhered it to a background embossed with crackled paste.  I also printed a second image, but I only took the flower to complete my composition.  For full supply list, visit my blog: Escape To Stamping.

SheepSki Designs is our sponsor this month, the randomly selected winner would receive 3 digital stamps of their choice.

Now it's your turn to create.  Remember to use your die cut machine in the process, August's challenge theme is Wet/Dry Embossing.  If the result of your wet and/or dry embossing is obvious, please tell us about it in your post description.   To link up, click the Monthly Challenge button located at the right sidebar.

Bye for now.
