Leafy Window card with Poppystamps

Hi there.  Dawn here to inspire you today.

Our sponsor this month is Poppystamps.  Poppystamps is a line of stamps and craft dies from the creative people at Memory Box! Known for their popular floral patterns and whimsical designs, Poppy Stamp products could be the difference between your card being good or great!

Poppystamps is offering a $20 gift certificate to the winner!
   THEME: WINDOW or APERTURE CARD

We are so happy to have Poppystamps as our sponsor and have such fantastic products.

The die I used is Adriana Square Frame.  I cut it out of some Canson watercolour paper and then used a variety of greens and a splash of teal from Altenew's 36 pan watercolour paints.  Once it dry I add the stamped vellum behind the appeture. The sentiment is from a Catherine Pooler Designs set and I white embossed it onto some heavy vellum.  I then glued it to a dark grey panel.

Do come and join us at Die Cut Divas for this month's challenge.

I don't think it's ever too early to start working on Christmas cards! This will definitely go to a dog lover in my family though. I like the black and white with pops of color.

You definitely need to join our challenge to have a chance to win that $20 gift card to Poppystamps!

Poppystamps Simple Lantern Oval

Hi Crafty Friends! It's Sue here with a card for this month's challenge of WINDOW/APERTURE CARDS. We are sponsored this month by PoppyStamps who will be giving this month's winner a $20 gift card to their online store.

Here's my card

I took a little creative license for this card. You see, my window is "closed". LOL! I was wanting an "eerie" feel to my window so I used some vellum to achieve the look I was after. Also, I knew what kind of background I was wanting (behind the lantern) and I couldn't figure out how to achieve that look by inking up the inside of the card (to make this a true window/aperture card). I used Poppystamps Simple Lantern Oval die to create this card. If you'd like detailed instructions on how I made this card, please check out my foleysfriend blog.
