Celebrating International Woman's Day

Hi there.  It's my turn to share here at Die Cut Divas.

Our sponsor this month is Scrapflower Estudio

The theme for this month is Anything Goes.

My card is to celebrate International Woman's Day which was on the 8th March.

I've used Scrapflower Estudio's Woman Power Girl.  I printed her and then die cut out with a Spellbinders Oval die.  I used my Spectrum Noir Tri-blend pens and some Prismacolor pencils to add colour.  My background was in my "to use" pile.  A galaxy background I made a while ago.  I added an Altenew die cut sentiment and a little pre-printed sentiment from Creative Expressions.

Hope to see your creations in our gallery.

Flower Medley background in Twinkling watercolours and Gold

Hi, Dawn here to share my Golden card today.   Our lovely sponsor this month is no other than Hero Arts.

We are grateful to them for giving our winner a $50 gift card! So generous. Thank you, Hero Arts.

Our challenge this month is GOLD

My card today is using some older Hero Arts products.  Way back when I first started stamping, some of my first stamps were Hero Arts - first wood stamps, then cling stamps and onto clear stamps.  My wood stamps are getting a bit of workout when my granddaughter comes to play... she handles them better than clear ones.    Anyway today's card uses an older Cling stamp - Flower Medley (discontinued) and Hello There Stamp and Cut set.  see it HERE

I took a panel of black cardstock and using a Gold Embossing powder, I embossed the background stamp.  I then took my very ancient set of Twinkling H2O's..  These are very sparkly, highly pigmented watercolours.   I painted the background with these amazing watercolours.  They look stunning on the black card.  I used my Gina K Master Layouts to cut the panels.   I decided that the purple was a good foil against all that colour.  As the background was so busy, I chose to used a very simply bold die cut sentiment.   I used the Hello Stamp and Die set, cut from black and gold card.  I layer the black slightly offset behind the gold.

Do come and join us with this month's challenge.

Dawn and the Divas.

Golden with Hero Arts

Hi Crafty Friends! It's Sue here with a card for you. Our sponsor this month is Hero Arts. We are grateful to them for giving our winner a $50 gift card! So generous. Thank you Hero Arts.

Our challenge this month is

GOLD

Here's my card

For my card, I started with Hero Arts Celestial Bold Prints cling stamp. I heat embossed it with gold embossing powder on a white A2 card panel. I then added distress inks applied with oval ink blending brushes. Using a Waffle Flower Additional A2 Layers die, I trimmed it down slightly. I matted the panel with an A2 panel of gold cardstock, which was die cut with a Waffle Flower A2 Layers die. For the sentiment, I heat embossed, again with gold embossing powder using an old Hero Arts' stamp set, Year Round Sentiments on a strip of purple cardstock. I matted the strip again with gold cardstock. I adhered all the pieces and then the panel to a white A2 card base to complete my card with double-sided tape.

For more details on how I created this card, check out my foleysfriend blog.

We'd love to see your gold-inspired projects in our gallery this month.

Golden Lotus

 Hi,

Cindy here to share another 'Add Some Gold' inspiration project.  Yes, I was like gold, gold, gold!! 😁

So technically my lotus flower isn't painted gold, but surrounded by gold embossing I think it kind of has that golden glow to it?!

I used Hero Arts Water Flow Slimline Stencil for the background.  And Hero Floral Lotus Stamp and Frame cut for main focul, however it's been retired.  There are several stamp and die set that include beautiful lotus/waterlilies, these could be a great addition to you stash.  For example, Hero Arts Water Lilies Fancy DiesHero Arts Color Layering Dragonfly, and Hero Arts Koi Bunch . . . etc.

For more details please visit Escape To Stamping.

Hero Arts is this month's sponsor, and the challenge prize is $25 gift card to their store.

Let's meet up at the challenge gallery!
