For today's project I did some ink smooshing using my Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set and created a rather dreamy background, and yet it is still quite front and centered.

Have fun on your Birthday

Hi there.  Dawn here to share my Animal card for this month's challenge

April's sposnor is Di's Digis and it's All about Animals.

Prize: The prize for April's winner is a $6.00 voucher. 

I chose to use a sweet little digi called "Daisy Fun" I printed it onto some watercolour card.

 I used my Zig Markers to watercolour these cuties. I decided yellow daisies would suit them. I added some gold Sparkle pen to the centres and a few little dabs onto my hedgie. I used Craft Creations Mega rectangle dies to cut out the watercolour panel and to make the black frame for around the image. Added a Sentiment from Clearly Besotted and it was done.

Cindy here to share another Free For Fun project featuring  Di's Digi Daisy Fun Stamp.  During the summer months, other than gardening, we enjoy getting together with our friends, and we do enjoy our wine. 

For today's project I printed the Daisy Fun Digi stamp twice on white multi media paper, watercolored and handcut the critters out. 

To create this wine party I gave each of the critter a glass of wine (image from Taylored Expression Today's Menu), set them up on top of a burlap picnic blanket, added fruits and wine bottle.  The background was watercolor in an ombre fashion with green on the bottom and blue on the top.  Then the panel is die cut using Hero Arts Nesting Postage Stamp Infinity Dies and adhered to a white card base.  I added some glossy accent onto the glasses and bottle.  Love that shine!  :)

Flowery Birthday wishes

Hello all,

I am sharing a birthday card made using this lovely stamp set call Cake by Jane's Doodle who is our sponsor for May.  

Our May challenge theme is:  May Flowers (trees, grass, and plants all count too).

 

I have used a flowery embossing folder to make my flowers and then used two of the sentiments from the Cake set.   I coloured the embossed flowers with Zig Markers which I blended with Wink of Stella.  I can tell you for real, it sparkles!

Quick Watercolor Technique Wet Watercolor on Dry Paper

I took a class on watercolor techniques at my local stamp shop, The Stamp Art Shoppe, in Roseville, California.  Susan, our teacher, also conducts Copic coloring classes.

Here is an easy peasy card because it is easy to make your colors go where you want them to.   Yes, this was no accident.  hehehe  If your paper is dry, your watercolors won't run out of control as much as a wet on wet technique.  Just a tip.  As Susn says, "it is easier to contain the color where you put it".  You put your wet media (watercolors blue and green) on the paper and tilt the paper so you get the drips and runs where you want them.  Now I wanted purple after I had the blue and green on, so that's what I did.  I added the purple, tilted the card and let it run.  I really liked the addition of a third color.  Let it dry and then stamp a large stamp to give it some cohesion.  A ribbon here added some interest.

I didn't get the image stamped well here, but if I didn't tell you, you wouldn't have known it.  The happenstance of art!

I really do like the way this turned out.
