It's Raining Christmas Cards Today

Frantic Stamper is Die Cut Divas' Sponsor for the December Challenge of Winter/Christmas project with an optional twist to make a shaped Winter/Christmas Card.

The prize is a Christmas Die Bundle!  Check out our Challenge Post to see the bundle here.

You can find so many "must haves" at Frantic Stamper and I was looking for something that had a WOW factor and I think I found a couple of "must haves" and I know I found many wonderful "must haves".

These houses are going to family.  Since I cut everything from glitter cardstock, which is heavier than normal cardstock, so I was cutting for what I thought was forever, but was not.  For the results, I would gladly do this again with glitter cardstock.  The glitter is incredible and even if I say so myself, just beautiful.  Since my base cardstock was glossy, I used a stopper for each card, e.g. "ho-HO-ho!" on the blue cards.

Supplies:
Poppy Stamps Winter House Pop-up Easel Set at Frantic Stampers
IO dies - Birch Trees (small die-cut birds on houses)
Elizabeth Craft Designs various sentiments stamp sets
Glitter paper in stash
Vagabond die-cut machine

Peace on Earth

The challenge at Die Cut Diva's this month is "Silhouettes". A silhouette is the image of a person, animal, object or scene represented as a solid shape of a single color, usually black, with its edges matching the outline of the subject. Our Sponsor this month is-

Cheapo Dies

Cheapo Dies is offering a $15 gift certificate,
 which goes a long way.

Here is my project-

My silhouette this time is white, on a background of Distress Oxide inks. For more information on this card, please visit me at Just A Nutter Paper Crafter.

Seasons Greeting in Kraft

It's December at Die Cut Diva's, our challenge theme is "Winter", & our wonderful sponsor is-

The prize this month is a $10 gift voucher!

And here is my project:

The dies I used for this card are the holly square (Frantic Stamper) and the sentiment (Impression Obsession). I'm finding I like to stack the sentiments so they have a chunky look. This time it needed contrast, so a white shadow with red words works on this card.

Happy Accident

Happy Sunday,

I am super excited today because it's my very first solo post here at Die Cut Diva's.  I am new to the team, and this month's challenge is New Technique, Die, Stamp, and/or Colours!!   How fun is that?!

Our great sponsor this month is One Happy Cut.  Winner of this month's challenge would receive a $15 gift certificate to their store.

For my project I used my new ink: Hero Arts Ombre Tide Pool to Navy, along with the Impression Obsession Dies - Feather set available at One Happy Cut.

I pressed my ink pad directly onto water colour paper panel, and I wanted to spritz water all over it to create a water on water look.  But I got distracted and left to do something else.  By the time I returned the ink has dried!  :(  But I spritzed water all over it anyway hoping to achieve the same result, sadly it didn't turnout, but this became a happy accident (thus the title of this post), the backside looks very interesting.  After it dried I die cut the feathers and went ahead to create my card.  Here's a look of how I got my feather dies done.

Here's my finished card, I fashioned the feathers like a nest for my bird.
