The challenge at Die Cut Divas is to submit a project which uses silhouette(s). 
A silhouette is the image of a person, animal, object or scene represented as a solid shape of a single color, usually black, with its edges matching the outline of the subject.

For my card today, I used "Pocket Bouquet" from Cheapo Dies.

While this is not a Cheapo Die, Cheapo Dies has wonderful Birds on Branch here, Tree Panel here, as well as dotted square dies here and Scallop Stitch Square Dies here.

I'd say these birds are singing in the dawn.

Arlene obviously liked the silhouette idea and went with it in total  abandon. Even though this is not a Cheapo die, they have some marvelous similar dies which Arlene points out at A Bit of This and That.

Here is my project-

One of my Mom's favorite flowers were roses. She had several lavender roses in her yard, and this card is a homage to her gardening.

Note: I looked up Cheapo dies that were similar to the ones I already own. They USED to have a rose like this-but it has been retired. The die I suggested can easily replace my roses.

Teal Hummingbird card

Here is my project-

One of my favorite colors is teal, and this card uses numerous teals in paper as well as Copic markers. I keep trying different methods of paper piecing, and someday I'll find one I like!

Note: I looked up Cheapo dies that were similar to the ones I already own. They USED to have a hummingbird panel like this-but it has been retired. The die I suggested can easily replace my hummingbird.

Arlene has a neat sea scene in rather untraditional monochromatic yellow.  While this is not a Cheapo Die, Cheapo Dies has a wonderful lighthouse scene for you to try.here as well as dotted rectangle dies here. Arlene at A Bit of This and That.

The die used on this card isn't a Cheapo die either, but there is a very similar die here. Michelle at Just A Nutter Paper Crafter.
