Versatile Vases

Dawn T here to share my sample for today.  Our theme this month is water...  So when my new Versatile Vases stamp set arrived I knew it would be prefer to use for my sample.

I did some stamping and masking to add the flower from Fresh Freesia set to the vase.  I used the stencil that came with the vase to add some water.  I used a mixture of watercolour pens, Alcohol markers, and Prismacolor pencils.  I used Evening Grey ink to stamp the flower, vase and sentiment.

Water, Water Everywhere

Altenew
I hope you have been enjoying the "water" challenge here at Die Cut Divas.

My first card features a window scene which has a European feeling scene of houses out the window.  I die cut the cat from black paper and popped the cat up on top of the window (Window, sentiment and Cat are part of the Dancing in the Rain" stamp set)   The cat has a matching die.  This is my favorite and I may have to create a another window card.

And I did create another window card.  For some reason I really like working with this image, some kind of wanting to go visit Europe again.  I added the teacups (matching die) to connect the windows and perhaps the owners of the cats. This is the card I sent to my partner on the Card Chain Challenge.

Close-up of my card showing those cute tea cups.

My third card features the little girl dancing in the rain.  I used this same image on April 8th.  I have enjoyed using this wonderful stamp set as well as the dies that match.  I did not use the matching die for this card.

I hope you enjoyed catching the rain images in this "Dancing in the Rain" set.  You can catch me at A Bit of This and That.

Sunrise over the sea

This month's challenge theme is
"WATER"
(rain, lakes, ocean, streams, rivers, dark clouds full of water, glass of water, tears),
just have some sort of water on the card.

and our sponsor is Altenew

Altenew
Dawn T here today to share my "water" card.

I recently saw a tutorial over at Splitcoaststampers about doing a sunrise scene.  I decided I'd try it with some Altenew stamps and inks.  I started by stamping the the water stamp  from Altenew "Be A Lighthouse" with Sapphire ink and then blended it with the same ink.  I then die cut a circle to use as a mask.  Then I took Altenew inks in - Honey Drizzle, Autumn Blaze, Heart Beat, Vineyard Berry and Cosmic Berry  I then stamp the lighthouse and gulls in Versafine Onyx Black.  The sentiment stamps are from the same set.  I used a die to cut out the panel and then used some of the dies to emboss around the panel  for some texture.

Do come and join us with your water related creations.

I wanted to have some cards on hand that could be used for a sympathy card, or supporting a friend going through a rough time. This turned out better than I could have hoped, as stamping on vellum can be tricky.

Dancing In The Rain

Altenew is the sponsor for Die Cut Divas this month and the prize is a $20 gift certificate.  I am jealous, to say the least, so be sure to join the challenge.
Altenew

Altenew is known for the many wonderful flower stamps and dies that have made stampers extremely happy with their products.  I have my favorites and "Dancing in the Rain" stamp and die set is one of them.  There are so many fun images and great sentiments in the set.

My first two cards features the "Dancing in the Rain" stamp set from Altenew. You can find the stamp and die set here

My first card features a silhouette of a little dancing girl in the rain and puddles.  There is a rain stamp and the little girl dancing in the puddles stamp which combined to make the cutest stamped scene.  Silhouettes make great cards, adding an embossing folder and dies.  I used the sentiment "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...  It's about learning to dance in the rain."

My second card features a couple with an umbrella standing in some puddles with the rain sleeting down.  Three stamps were used to create this card (rain stamp, sentiment stamp and couple stamp).  I thought a non-symmetrical look might fit this card.

For my third card, I used another Altenew stamp set for a scene with a lighthouse.  One of my favorite things to investigate is a lighthouse.  I've seen marvelous lighthouses along the coasts of Maine and California.

Supplies:
Altenew Be A Lighthouse
Becca Feeken die
Hero Arts Holiday Greenery Edge Fancy Die (upper corner die-cuts)
Copic markers including multi-liner 0.05
Vagabond die cut machine

Thank you from the Die Cut Divas for checking out our inspiration cards.
