Using a Die to emboss

http://www.thestampingboutique.com/category_1/Digital-stamps..htm

Dawn here to share the idea of using Dies to emboss.  It's a great way to stretch your dies.

I used a Marianne's oval die together with an embossing mat and instead of cutting, used the die to emboss the oval before using the outside die to cut it out.   I had printed the daffodil image from The Stamping Boutique prior to doing my embossing and die cutting.  Did some matting before adding to my card base and adding a sentiment from Altenew.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please be sure to join our embossing challenge this month... just a couple of days left.

This flower cart is so cute.  I can see coloring it in so many different colors.  I embossed the tan panel under the image.  I think this would be a fun card to give a happy greeting to someone for an extra lift.

A Christmas Quilt

I'm here today to share a card I've made using an embossing folder together with a digital image from The Stamping Boutique.  They are our fabulous sponsors this month.

http://www.thestampingboutique.com/

I punched out a series of 1.25" squares from three different Christmas paper and adhered them to a scarp of white paper.  I trimmed and then run through my Cuttlebug with an embossing folder.  I printed out The Stamp Boutique sentiment (available HERE)  and die cut with a Cottage Cutz stitched oval.   Edged it with some soft green in.

Do come and join us with your wet or dry embossing (or both!)
