Of Penguins and Plaid

I love to use plaid patterns on holiday cards, and I have the perfect stamp to do so, but it just doesn't quite have the desired effect when stamped in a single color, and rather then taking the time to carefully color the image, I decided to make my own pattern using distress ink and the masking technique. After which I colored the Penguins hat and scarf to coordinate, and framed him with my two favorite Nestability dies, regular oval and the scalloped oval.
 I just love how this turned out, and can't wait to mail it off!

I think I'm almost caught up with my Christmas cards this year, now if I can just get them out on time.
